Job Summary:
The Assistant Teacher for the Infants Program will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants aged 0-2 years. The assistant teacher will help with daily routines, classroom management, and the implementation of educational activities to promote the cognitive, social, and emotional development of the children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson plans and daily routines.
- Help children with basic needs such as feeding, dressing, and diapering.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of infants during indoor and outdoor play.
- Organize and maintain classroom materials and resources.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and behavior.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Support the social and emotional development of infants.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
- First Aid and CPR certified, or willingness to become certified.
- Patience, creativity, and a love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
