Methodology
Our Teaching Philosophy
At Happy Hearts, children are grouped by age. Each age group has age-appropriate programs that are geared towards fulfilling not just a child’s emotional and physical development but also laying a foundation of a very strong academic base.
At Happy Hearts we follow Pinnacle Learning Curriculum. Pinnacle® Curriculum is a research-based early childhood curriculum, designed with both teachers and students in mind. Based on the works of Piaget, Gardner, and Erikson, Pinnacle® provides early childhood educators with lessons that engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
Pinnacle® is published in an easy-to-use, reusable format that includes lesson plan guides, activity enrichments, and long-range goals linked to key standards. Developmentally appropriate curriculum programs are offered for Infants, Toddlers, Two’s, Three’s, Four’s, and Pre-School-Age children.
What We Teach
Our curriculum is kindergarten-based. Children are grouped by age and our teaching is age-appropriate. We follow the Pinnacle Learning method. We start at the toddler level and go all the way to pre-school level.
As the toddlers grow to the 2-year mark, they are moved to the 2’s room. There they get to do more hands-on activities, more arts and craft and start to get into learning alphabets and numbers.
